Cutting Stops per Hour at a Microbrewery

Right from the start, La Voie Maltée quickly saw improvements in availability, efficiency, and unit production time.

La Voie Maltée is a microbrewery from the Saguenay region, operating since 2002. The production plant is located in Chicoutimi and the company offers a wide range of beers brewed on site, alongside a diverse menu built around beer. Products have also been available in cans across Quebec since 2015, and several beers stand out on the global stage for their quality.

Initially, the production manager wanted to monitor canning operations in real time and compare productivity across products. After just 2 months of use, the number of stops per hour dropped 14%, while the overall production rate improved by more than 9% and the volume produced with the same resources rose 8%.

"We use the TileBoard system because it's very reliable and offers great versatility for analyzing productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness. We've reached the point where we want to benchmark our products while maintaining a superior quality level." - Nicolas Lapointe, Production Manager

Deeper involvement of the shop floor team is planned for 2018, after the holiday rush. La Voie Maltée is growing fast with inspiring and clearly innovative projects. Worximity is proud to count their team among the tribe.
